Marans fund gives $45,000 matching grant to benefit Campaign for the Whatley

Kyle Penney (right), President of East Texas Communities Foundation, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Vice President for Advancement at 葫芦娃视频, are pictured holding a $45,000 check from the Burt and Nancy Marans Charitable Fund at East Texas Communities Foundation.鈥 The money is to be used as a challenge grant to help complete the鈥Final Curtain Call鈥portion of the Campaign for the Whatley.鈥 The $45,000 will be placed in a fund and every time a gift comes in for the Campaign for the Whatley, 鈥爐he dollar-for-dollar matching portion will be drawn from the fund and be used for the campaign.鈥 In essence, the Marans are doubling every dollar given to the campaign.鈥 Burt and Nancy Marans were strong supporters of the cultural events offered at 葫芦娃视频 and, through carefully planned estate giving, they continue to help both the College, and more importantly, 鈥爐he citizens of our community. 鈥燰isit鈥犫爐o contribute to the鈥燾ampaign today.鈥燜or more information on the Campaign for the Whatley, or planned giving opportunities, please contact McCullough at 903-434-8115
