The Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ will host a Carroll Shelby Memorial Cruise event Saturday, May 6. The event will be held at the Shelby Automotive Technology Building on the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ campus beginning at 9 a.m.

The cruise will kick off with an Engine Rev to honor the memory of Shelby, who passed away May 12, 2010. Participants will then cruise Shelby?s hometown and the roads he grew up on. There is no charge to participate, but raffle tickets will be sold to benefit the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Shelby Automotive Program and the Carroll Shelby Foundation. A silent auction will also be held.

Shelby was a major supporter of the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ automotive program in his later years and he lent both his name and financial support to help ensure that students are able to receive high-quality automotive training right here in northeast Texas. The Carroll Shelby Foundation remains a major supporter of the program.
