The 2018 issue of†°Õ´Ç³Ü³¦³ó²õ³Ù´Ç²Ô±ð,†the collegiate journal of the Texas State Historical Association released this spring, contains two essays by current ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Presidential Scholars. This is now the fourth year in a row that ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ scholars nudged out leading submissions from students in other colleges and universities in Texas to be published in the prestigious collegiate journal. ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Scholars have now published 13 times in†°Õ´Ç³Ü³¦³ó²õ³Ù´Ç²Ô±ð†since 2009.†â¶Ä An average edition of†°Õ´Ç³Ü³¦³ó²õ³Ù´Ç²Ô±ð†consists of just seven student articles, which come from all over the state.
The 2018 springâ€Öò´Ç³Ü³¦³ó²õ³Ù´Ç²Ô±ð†also included an article on ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ?s award-winning Walter Webb Chapter by freshman Presidential Scholar, Warren Wu.†This article shares the story of how the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ chapter made their film on Mary Kay.
?Alicia Cantrell, in her article about two seemingly unrelated feminists Barbara Jordan and Ann Richards, detailed what both shared: their ?intersectional appeal.?†Rachel Jordan published a beautifully coherent essay on how Texas artists of the Regionalist, and Modern eras, went ?against the grain? of national trends in art,? Dr. Andrew Yox, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Honors Director, said.
