Dr. James "Jim" Richey, Jr.

From ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ '90 to Dean of Humanities, Communications and Fine Arts at Tyler Junior College, Jim's journey is one of passion and dedication.

  • Inspired by greats like Dr. Larry Thompson, Dr. Ron Cowan, and Dr. Ron Clinton, Jim's ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ days set the stage for his career. With his wife Toni, he founded The Eagle, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's award-winning newspaper! 

  • Transitioning from a focus on music to becoming an educator, his commitment to excellence never wavered. 

  • Now a published author and award-winning educator, Jim's advice to students? Treat college like a cherished job! 

  • With fond memories of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, Jim looks forward to staying connected and involved. Here's to the alma mater that shaped his journey!
