Northeast Elite Softball Camp wraps up

It’s been an eventful week for the Continuing Education Department as they hosted their first annual Northeast Elite Softball Camp. Camp dates were Monday-Thursday from 8-12. The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus was privileged to accommodate 16 girls between the ages of 6 and 12. The 16 young ladies received instruction from Coach Angela Smith, Coach Baylea Higgs, along with volunteers Jade Hill, and Savannah Lockler. The four days were spent focusing on team play, general skills, as well as specific position instruction. Continuing Education partnered with the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Athletic Department (special thanks to Andy Morgan, Jessica Keith) to have access to the softball field and indoor hitting facility. The athletic department also helped to provide the essential tools and equipment needed to run the camp. Continuing Education was also able to get sponsors to fund visor hats (Dr. Josh Stewart and Andy Morgan), and souvenir bats (D-Bat Mount Pleasant).

Continuing Education would like to give a special thanks to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ College Bookstore, Morgan Catron, Rico Willis, and Sonya Woods at Tri-County Press for their generous contributions.
