On Monday October 7, at 12:30 the Choctaw Nationβs Cultural Outreach program will be coming to the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ campus. Tribal members will share stories and the dances that tell those stories in the Whatleyβs large foyer. Some of those dances will be interactive, and the entire presentation is sure to be engaging and entertaining.
ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅βs Phi Theta Kappa chapter will be hosting the performers as part of their exploration of regional folklore and stories. The event is free to attend and the public is welcome.
The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Two new students recently graduated from the program. ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ is excited to announce that the Annual Backyard Bash Cookout is just around the corner, and itβs going to be an event you wonβt want to miss! It will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 17th at 6 p.m. at the Eagle Athletic Complex. All student, faculty and staff are invited to this fun, free party.

Abbie Rutledge and Dillon Williams joined Coach Jon Evan's staff at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ in August of 2024.
Rutledge came to Mount Pleasant after serving as a student assistant at her Alma Mater LSUS in the spring of 2024 as well as a club role coaching with CABOSA. Rutledge will serve as assistant to both the men's and women's programs and will play a significant role in strength and conditioning and will be involved in all aspects of both teams.

For the seventeenth-straight year in a row, Cypress Bank has presented a high-end laptop for the use of ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ honors students. This yearβs Cypress Bank Scholar is Yahir Garcia, who is also serving as the producer of the programβs yearly film project. Garcia is a computer-science major.
The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Vet Assistant program recently celebrated its first graduating class on Thursday, August 29th, 2024. Fifteen new students recently graduated from the program.
