ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ graduates 148 students at summer commencement

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ held its summer 2012 commencement ceremony at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Aug. 10. During the ceremony, 82 students were awarded associate degrees and 66 earned certificates of competency in their chosen fields. Cory Nesbitt, a 2003 graduate of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ who is now a mechanical engineer for NASA, gave the commencement address. Nesbitt is a native of Mount Pleasant and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. Pictured above, Carlos Mendez, of Mount Pleasant, gives the student response as his classmates look on. He has been a Presidential Scholar at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ for two years and has received numerous accolades on both the state and local levels. Mendez plans to pursue a career in engineering.
