Here are a few words about Kim's†personal wellness plan?

Late last year, I was diagnosed with stomach ulcers as a result of taking Alleve for the pain in my hands. My hands were hurting so bad that I was losing function and strength. As an artist and pottery instructor this was a real problem. Due to the risk of ulcers, I could no longer take over-the-counter pain medications to relieve my pain. I read Melody Henry's fittest employee of the month testimonial about not eating gluten and I decided to give it a try for pain relief. Within a couple of days of not eating gluten, my hands felt better than they had in years. In addition, my son encouraged me to watch a documentary called "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead." (You can watch it on YouTube) Two men in the documentary started juicing kale, celery, cucumbers, apples, lemon, and ginger. They both lost a lot of weight but their health improved significantly too including getting off their medications, improving their skin, and increasing their energy. So, in June of this year, I started juicing the "mean green" once or twice a day. I also make sure I get enough protein every day. I really enjoy the salad bar in the sub for lunch. I try to avoid gluten, sodas, sweet tea, sugary snacks, and other unhealthy refined foods. The juice leaves me feeling satisfied and I don't crave sweets like I used to. In five months, I have lost 24 pounds and I am feeling great. I am sleeping better, my complexion has improved, and the weight loss has really boosted my self-esteem. I have more energy and pretty soon, I am going to join Anna and Jennifer at the F.I.T. for a little exercise.
