The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Eagles Baseball and Softball teams have kicked off their spring seasons. Eagles Softball won their season opener against North Central Texas College 9-6 Saturday. The Eagles defeated NCTC 9-6 on Saturday.
The Eagles collected 11 hits and NCTC 8. Kymber Green earned the win for ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ.†She pitched four innings, giving up one run, two hits, and striking out two.†Morgan Robinson started the game for ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, she pitched three innings, giving up five runs, and six hits. Brittany Baggett, Emily Burogs, Aileen Robles, and Kelsey Naomi each collected multiple hit for the Eagles.†Naomi, Robles, and Burogs all had three hits to lead the Eagles.
?We have some good depth this year, with nine returning sophomores and some great freshman talent. We have everything in place to have a very successful season,? Jessica Keith, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Head Softball Coach, said.
Eagles Baseball split their first doubleheader at Weatherford College. They won the first game 10-1 and lost the second 11-6. They will play four home games this weekend. They kick off against Pratt Community College at 6 p.m. Friday. The Eagles will face Pratt again Saturday at 1 and will wrap up the weekend Sunday against Hutchinson Community College at noon.

Shane Wedd, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Head Baseball Coach, said. Wedd rejoined the staff this spring after serving as an assistant coach at Sam Houston State for two years. He previously spent three seasons as an assistant coach for the Eagles.
