Officials from Texas A&M University-Texarkana and ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ met on the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ campus May 25 to sign a new articulation agreement between the two schools. The signing combines the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Medical Assisting from ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ with the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences Degree from A&M-Texarkana. ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ President, Dr. Ron Clinton (right) is pictured formalizing the agreement with A&M-Texarkana President, Dr. Emily Cutrer.

Articulation agreements between the two institutions have existed since 1999, when the original partnership was begun as part of a teacher preparation program. Articulation agreements are formal documents outlining how certain courses or paths of study can be transferred among and accepted between the two institutions to combine and complete a specific degree plan.† While some of the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ students may take classes at the Texarkana campus, the biggest advantage for ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ students is that most of them can complete their bachelor?s degree program through A&M-Texarkana while still attending classes in Mt. Pleasant.
