The mission of ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ is "to provide personal, dynamic learning experiences empowering students to succeed." In keeping with this mission, faculty members frequently encourage students to expand their education beyond the classroom. A great example of this was found on March 28th, when student Alyssa Ochoa (pictured center in blue) spent several hours on a lovely spring afternoon collecting data on campus for her psychology research project. She hypothesized that people who petted a dog would report less stress after the interaction. To this end she and about 100 ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ students and staff had the opportunity to pet Ghost. Judging by the smiles in these photos, a lot of people were more than happy to help with her project.

Have you seen other examples of ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ students participating in unique activities inside or outside of the classroom? We would love to hear about them! E-mail your news to jpack@ntcc.edu
