Dr. Jackie Johnston – Professor of Mathematics

Jackie is a proud ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ alumna with an inspiring journey. After an Honorable Discharge from the , she and her husband, Bill, relocated to East Texas. Where she attended ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ as an adult first generation college student and discovered a passion for learning and teaching, thanks to the dedicated professors.

She has an AS degree from ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and two BS degrees in Nursing and Mathematics from . She earned an MS degree in Supervision, Curriculum, and Instruction with a minor in Mathematics, as well as an Ed.D. from .

Jackie credits her success to the caring professors at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ who instilled confidence and determination in her. Her time at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ was pivotal in building the foundation for her achievements and why she has returned to teach for us.

As if Jackie hasn’t accomplished enough in life, she is a proud mother of three successful children. She treasures her large family and enjoys the simplicity of country life, caring for chickens, cows, and their beloved dogs.
