Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced Tuesday that the statewide mask mandate is ending. In response, ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ is awaiting further guidance from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) in regards to specific health and safety recommendations for colleges going forward.

Out of an abundance of caution, ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ has cancelled Scare Affair 2020. The collegeβs annual Halloween carnival is a popular family event that is usually held in late October.
August graduation ceremony cancelled
In light of rising cases of COVID-19 in the area and in compliance with the latest orders from Texas Governor Greg Abbott, ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ has made the decision to cancel the in-person summer graduation ceremony originally planned for August 14.

We know that many of you are anxiously awaiting news about how things will look this fall at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅. We are pleased to report that ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ plans to resume face-to-face classes for the fall 2020 semester. We will do so with the health and safety of our campus community as the top priority. As we all know, the COVID-19 situation is rapidly changing and we remain prepared to adapt as necessary to provide personal, dynamic learning experiences empowering students to succeed.
ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ plans to offer classes on campus for Fall 2020
ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ will offer on-campus classes for the Fall 2020 semester. The College is currently working to implement a plan that will allow for traditional face-to-face learning opportunities while still practicing social distancing and other measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. We will announce full details when they become available. Additionally, ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ will continue to offer a full slate of online courses for those who prefer learning in that environment.
