In light of the challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis, ��«����Ƶ will modify its Spring 2020 grading policy to allow students to convert their Spring final course letter grades to “S-Satisfactory/U-Unsatisfactory” or withdraw from courses with a ‘W’.  This may be done following the ... 

The Eagle Food Pantry will be open Thursday, May 7th from 11-1 for curbside care package pickup located at Wesley Fellowship Center. We only fill orders for students who email us at ​CARE@ntcc.edu ​from their student email. No emails will be answered if they are not sent to the CARE@ntcc.edu email. If you are a dual student, please let us know when you contact us. Once you email us, we will give you a time between 11-1 to pick up your care package. All food orders will need to be in by noon on Wednesday, May 6th.

The ��«����Ƶ Journalism department is looking for student art and literary works to be featured in our upcoming 8th volume of Lagniappe, our award-winning literary and art magazine. We are accepting original paintings, photography, drawings, sculptures, poems, short stories and other creative works of art and writing. 

East Texas Giving Day helped 195 non-profits throughout East Texas raise more than $2.1 million for their causes.

Presidential Scholar, Daniel Landaverde, was recently awarded the bellwether scholarship for community college endeavors, the Jack Kent Cooke. This highly competitive and sought-after award provides up to $40,000 a year for students to complete their bachelor’s degree.  

In response to COVID-19, the Commissioners of the Texas Workforce Commission approved new Skills initiatives to assist businesses in training and growing their workforce as Texas prepares to reopen for business. Their recommendation supports up to $10 million in Skills Development Funds to support training in High Demand occupations at prevailing wage with priority given to training in the healthcare, manufacturing (including food and agriculture), and IT sectors retooling business processes in direct response to needs identified by COVID-19. 

PTK Catalyst, Phi Theta Kappa’s international convention, was turned into a live virtual streaming event this year. Alpha Mu Chi, ��«����Ƶ’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, was among those recognized at the international level. Awards were given out to recognize the hard work of 1,285 chapters in the United States and ten other nations.

Jacob Lambie successfully campaigned for and won the position of International Vice-President for Division II for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Lambie will be the first student from ��«����Ƶ to hold that highly respected position. Division II includes 326 chapters in 7 Regional Organizations, comprising Alabama, Florida, British Virgin Islands, Peru, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Texas.
