The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of board member Jerry Webster Tuesday evening at the regular December meeting.

The Adult Education Department at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ is accepting new students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs.

Santa’s Sweeties recently presented the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation with a check for $1,000 to sponsor the 12th Annual Northeast Texas Poetry Contest.

Ned and Margaret Muse, of Pittsburg, recently presented the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation with a check for $2,100 to establish a new travel scholarship.

Jaidyn Taylor Thompson, of Jenkins in Morris County has become the 2020 Texas Heritage National Bank (THNB) Scholar of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. Chairman of the Board of THNB, John Bryan, made this official, 27 August. This $4,000 scholarship goes to a top Presidential Scholar of the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Honors Program. Thompson, will inherit this prestigious designation from other previous vanguard students of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ: Mercedes Collins, now at Grand Canyon University in Arizona; Jordan Whelchel, now at Rice University; Cassidy Watkins, now working at the San Marcos Treatment Center, and Emmalea Shaw, now working toward her doctorate in physical therapy at the North Texas State medical campus in Fort Worth.
