��«����Ƶ Athletes will begin returning to the campus on Thursday, January 13 to begin to prepare for the Spring 2022 seasons.

Dear College Family,

I hope everyone has had a refreshing holiday break and is ready to embark on another impactful year at ��«����Ƶ.

I know we all hoped that this pandemic would be completely in our rear view mirror by now. As we begin this new semester, however, while experiencing another aggressive spike in COVID infections with the Omicron variant, we will need to continue implementing heightened safety measures on campus to help reduce the risk of Covid spread until this current aggressive wave subsides. I hope that will be soon. 

��«����Ƶ is excited to announce a new Cyber Security Micro Credential program that will kick off in Spring 2022. This one-semester certificate will prepare students for an exciting career in a rapidly-growing field that is in high-demand from companies in this region and beyond. Full scholarships are available to students who act now! for more information.

��«����Ƶ will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17th in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Offices will reopen and the spring semester will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 18th.

The ��«����Ƶ Eagles Baseball team is selling old jerseys for $50. They have white, grey and navy versions in limited quantities. This is a great gift for a baseball fan or former Eagle!  First come first serve. Email Andy Morgan at amorgan@ntcc.edu if interested in purchasing one. 

A freshman from Pittsburg is the winner of the Dr. Alexander Villalobos Award.  This $50 prize goes to a top essay in the non-honors division of ��«����Ƶ concerning the history of health and medicine. Guerra’s essay was entitled “The Death of Death: The Revolution in Hygiene in the early Nineteenth Century.”

The ��«����Ƶ Board of Trustees met Tuesday, Dec. 14 for its regular monthly meeting. Molly Abele, CPA with the firm Axley & Rode, gave the annual presentation of the college’s independent audit.  

The ��«����Ƶ Student Services building had a special visitor this week as Santa himself stopped by for a quick visit. Kenzie Messer, Enrollment Management Coordinator, had the honor of sitting down with him for a chat. Kenzie and Santa both agree...sign up for spring today! Classes start January 18.
