Third annual Engineering Roundtable event a success

The 3rd Annual Engineering Roundtable at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ was held on Friday, April 1, 2016 in the Student Union Building on campus. Since 2014, this event has become an annual opportunity for both students who are currently enrolled in the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ engineering program and students from area high schools who are interested in the field of engineering. Glen Calvert, P.E., General Manager of Priefert Complex Designs, gave the keynote address.

Honors Northeast brings home two poster awards from conference

Honors Northeast, the honors program of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, recently continued its tradition of success among its peers in the Great Plains Honors Council with the poster awards of William Jones and Gabriela Quezada.†Jones won the behavioral science division of those with fewer than 60 hours of college completed, while the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ sophomore, Gabriela Quezada, won in the professional division for those with more than 60 hours.††ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ won two of the six poster awards given at the meeting.†††Jones and Quezada both were awarded $50 prizes.

Nursing inducts 15 into Alpha Delta Nu honor society

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ nursing program†recently inducted 15 students into its Gamma Omicron chapter of the Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society. This is a national honor society of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN). In order to be selected for membership, students must maintain a 3.0 or above GPA and have earned a grade of B or better in each nursing class after two semester of coursework.

April 15 Construction Update


? Work is currently moving to the area behind BT and near the welding/auto body shop.


? The back two doors of the BT building and the parking lot between IT and the welding/auto body shop are closed for the time being.


? There will be no through passage between IT and the Whatley Center for approximately two more weeks.


? Please use caution on that entire side of campus and look out for heavy machinery and workers.






Ag brings home state honors

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Agriculture program recently traveled to the Texas Junior college Agriculture Association (TJCAA) conference at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. This much-anticipated conference is a celebration and appreciation of agriculture that allows students a chance to network and compete with peers from around the state.

In addition to winning third place overall for Chapter Sweepstakes, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Ag Students earned the following awards:
