The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Professional Driving Academy continues to grow and supply high-demand CDL drivers to the local area. Four new students recently graduated from the program. If you are looking for something fun to do this Saturday, head to downtown Pittsburg and check out the Texas Hot Link Festival. The excitement begins at 10 a.m. and will feature a variety of food, vendors, concerts and events. The festival is commemorating the 100th birthday of Carroll Shelby with several of the day's events themed around the late racing legend. These will include a car show hosted by the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Shelby Automotive Program (starting at 10 a.m.

Weather once again played with the schedule for ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Athletics. ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Softball moved the two-game series with Navarro College to Tuesday, April 25th to get ahead of the rains. The Eagles took game one 8-5 and game two 5-3 to earn the sweep against the Bulldogs.

ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Baseball hosted the North Conference leading Navarro Bulldogs on Saturday, April 22nd and came away with a series split with Navarro winning game one 10-2 and ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ taking the win in game two, 4-3.

The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Foundation finished East Texas Giving Day at the top of the leaderboard for the second year in a row this Tuesday. ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ raised a whopping $244,730 via the annual fundraising event that has become a regional tradition.
In addition to raising the most money, ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ also finished with the highest number of donations at 208. Nita May, ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Director of Development and event organizer, said that these numbers reflect the enthusiasm and effort put forth by ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ employees, students and community members.

The first-ever pickleball class at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ wrapped up last week. The course was hosted by the continuing education department and taught by Marc Levesque. A total of 12 people participated and had a great time learning more about the growing sport. Congrats to our first pickleball graduates!

All students, faculty, staff and their immediate family members are welcome to participate. Come for food, fun and a chance to compete for $500 in cash prizes!
