Wilson gives $10,000 to fund ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ scholarship
The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation recently received a $500 scholarship from the Pleasant Sams, the Mount Pleasant Chapter of the Good Sam Club of America. Television's hit show†Duck Dynasty†is headed to ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. Phil Robertson, the Duck Commander himself, and his youngest son, Jep,†will speak on the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus on Saturday, April 6. The event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave $25,000 to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation. These funds will provide scholarships to students enrolled in the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Department. The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently donated $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ majoring in an allied health field. The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation announced the winners of the 2012-2013 Whatley Employment Enhancement Awards this week. Seven out of the 20 proposals were chosen for funding.
The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation recently held its annual golf tournament at the Mount Pleasant Country Club. This was the 25th†consecutive year of the tournament. Gold sponsors for the event were AEP-Swepco, American National Bank, Capps Insurance, Guaranty Bond Bank, Luminant, Northeast Texas Credit Union and Scrubbies Wash USA. Silver sponsors were EDH Electric, Texas Heritage National Bank, Big Tex, Elliott Motors and Redfearn Real Estate.
