Wilson gives $10,000 to fund ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ scholarship

Mr. Gilbert Wilson (left), of Pittsburg, recently gave $10,000 to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation. Dr. Jonathan McCullough (right), ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Vice President for Advancement, is pictured receiving the donation. The gift will fund the Wilson Family Scholarship, which is named in memory of Mr. Wilson's parents. The perpetual scholarship will provide deserving ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students with one $500 scholarship each year. Pleasant Sams give annual scholarship

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation recently received a $500 scholarship from the Pleasant Sams, the Mount Pleasant Chapter of the Good Sam Club of America. International Sulphur gives ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ transfer scholarships

Reception planned to honor Elizabeth Whatley

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation invites the public to attend a reception in honor of Elizabeth Whatley on Tuesday, April 30 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Whatley is being presented with the Distinguished Benefactor Award for her generosity and support of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ over the years. Hors d'oevres will be served and a short presentation will begin at 5 p.m.

These funds will provide scholarships to students enrolled in the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Department. TRMC Auxiliary gives allied health scholarships

The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently donated $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ majoring in an allied health field. Priefert team wins ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Golf Classic

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation recently held its annual golf tournament at the Mount Pleasant Country Club. This was the 25th†consecutive year of the tournament. Gold sponsors for the event were AEP-Swepco, American National Bank, Capps Insurance, Guaranty Bond Bank, Luminant, Northeast Texas Credit Union and Scrubbies Wash USA. Silver sponsors were EDH Electric, Texas Heritage National Bank, Big Tex, Elliott Motors and Redfearn Real Estate.
