Tommy Lee Biker Run donates $5,000 for ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ scholarships

The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Foundation recently received a gift for $5,000. These funds were raised at the annual Tommy Lee Memorial Biker Run and will be used to provide scholarships to Camp County students attending ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅. The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Foundation recently received an anonymous $6,000 donation to sponsor six students in the new ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Work Scholarship Program. Nita May (left), ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Director of Development, and Dr. Jonathan McCullough, ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Vice President for Advancement, accepted the gift on behalf of the Foundation. The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Foundation Board recently held its annual business meeting. Dr. Jim Archer, a retired ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ professor, was installed as president by outgoing president, Judy Weiss. Other officers elected included Jane Scharlach, Vice President and Rick Nelson, Secretary.†The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Foundation is a non-profit corporation that was established in 1984. Its purpose is to receive and administer gifts to enhance educational excellence at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅.

Fine Arts Club of Mount Pleasant gives scholarship

The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Foundation recently received a $500 gift to benefit a student majoring in fine arts. Bestselling author Laura Schroff speaks at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅

Bestselling author and motivational speaker, Laura Schroff, spoke at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts this week. The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Foundation sponsored the event as part of its annual Distinguished Lecture Series. Schroff shared the inspirational true story behind her book,†An Invisible Thread, which shot to the top of the New York Times Bestseller List after its release in 2011.
