ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ men's soccer holds on to national ranking

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ) Men?s Eagles Soccer team split two games this week defeating Jacksonville College and falling to Tyler Junior College (ranked third in the nation) in overtime. The Eagles remain†ranked seventh in the nation according to the National Junior College Athletic Association coaches poll this week.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ) Men?s Eagles Soccer team ended their undefeated streak this†past†week with a†heartbreaking 1-0 loss to San-Jacinto College. Even with the tough loss to the defending national champions, the Eagles still find themselves ranked in the top 10 at number seven†in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) coaches poll this week.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ) men?s Eagles Soccer team carried their record-breaking momentum from last year into their first regular season games this weekend defeating both nationally ranked Eastern Florida State College and Mississippi Gulf Coast College in a mini tournament at Pensacola, Florida.

Freshman Yannick Koffi put the first point on the board for the Eagles 12 minutes into the game against 5th ranked Eastern Florida State with assistance from Rodrigo Gonzalez.

Baseball drops three games to Angelina

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Eagles (ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ) baseball team dropped a three-game series to the Angelina College Roadrunners over the weekend.

Zach Osborne led the Eagles during the Saturday game and allowed the Roadrunners only one run in the sixth. The Eagles were unable to put any runs on the board and finished the game with a 1-0 defeat after nine innings.

Sunday's first game started with the Roadrunners taking an early lead in the third with two runs, the Eagles regained ground in the sixth when Jason Jones hit a homerun and scored along with Casey Dickerman.

Baseball sweeps Navarro



The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Eagles (ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ) baseball team dominated the Navarro College Bulldogs†by sweeping†during their three-game series this weekend.

Thursday?s game started off with Austin Griffin hitting a homerun early and followed by Casey Dickerman getting on and working his way around the bases to score in the third. The Bulldogs put up two runs in the fifth and the eighth before Connor Drake scored the what proved to be the winning run for the Eagles in the ninth.

Eagles Softball struggles in tourney

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Eagles (ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ) softball team suffered a series of losses this weekend during a tournament held in Longview. The Eagles faced four college teams from three states on Friday and Saturday, with two additional games scheduled for Sunday being canceled because of weather.

Sophomore infielder Jennifer Miller hit the first homerun of the tournament for the Eagles in the fourth inning of Friday?s first game against Lamar Community College, scoring their only run of the game.
