The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (9-21, 4-10) Eagles softball team traveled to Tyler Junior College (39-5, 14-0) for a doubleheader contest on Friday. Ranked third in the nation by the NJCAA, the TJC Apaches took the opening game by a score of 8-2 and won game two 11-4.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (10-20, 5-11) Eagles baseball team traveled to Bossier Parish Community College (20-13, 6-10) Friday to start the second round of conference play. BPCC defeated the Eagles 7-4 to take game one of the three game series. The final two games were scheduled to be played at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ on Saturday, but rain forced a change of venue to Paris Chism High school’s turf field on Sunday. BPCC took games two and three by a score of 4-3 in game two and 7-4 in game three.

Touchstone published students

The 2019 issue of Touchstone, the collegiate journal of the Texas State Historical Association (TSHA) released this spring, contains three essays by students currently enrolled at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ baseball could not hold the lead against the Carl Albert State College Vikings in a road game this Tuesday. The Eagles led 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning when Jaylen Patterson hit a two-run homer to steal the victory.

Rescheduled! The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Business and Cosmetology Clubs will host a free community Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. on the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (9-17, 4-6) Eagles softball team split with Bossier Parrish Community College (24-10, 4-6) in an afternoon conference match last Friday.

This past week members of the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Rodeo team traveled to Texas A&M University to compete. Northeast’s Ty Eason won the Calf roping event, while team member Culver Roberts placed fourth in the Team roping.

Rhylie Anderson (left) and Hannah Dickson, both sophomores at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, have been named 2019 Coca-Cola Academic Team Bronze Scholars. Each will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a commemorative medallion.
