ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ student, Ian Griffin, held a signing for his debut novel Birth of A Spy Couple on Thursday, Oct. 20 in the Student Union Building. Griffin served in the United States Army for 31 years. During this time, he lived in Germany for nine years. Living in Germany gave him a unique perspective of Germany and its culture. He has incorporated his experiences and observations into spinning a yarn that encompasses the characters of Rick and Katja.

The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region will have the third rodeo of the 2022-2023 season in Mount Pleasant, Texas October 21st and 22nd. ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ (ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅) will be the host of the Rodeo held at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Arena located on Greenhill Road in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

MPEDC gives $25,000 for truck driving scholarships

The Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation (MPEDC) recently presented ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ with a check for $25,000. This is a repeated initiative between MPEDC and ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅. The funds, like before, are being used to provide scholarships to assist residents of Mount Pleasant and Titus County with tuition for ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣơ’s Professional Driving Academy. ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Ag Program sees enrollment boom

Beginning Fall 2020 due to recent strategies to include ag classes as science options in core, developing a new method of delivering dual credit courses in our cooperating ISD’s and improving and expanding our on-line offerings- as COVID hit, the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Agriculture department doubled enrollment. Following this substantial increase, every semester showed double digit growth!

Vocational Nursing program earns perfect pass rate

The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Vocational Nursing (VN) program recently learned that 100% of its graduates from August 2022 passed their NCLEX-PN examinations. This marks the second year in a row that the VN program has had a 100% pass rate. 

β€œOur faculty and students gave it everything they had last year and that hard work has paid off. We are so proud of our graduates and wish them the very best in their careers as Vocational Nurses,” Carie Overstreet, Instructor of Nursing, CAN and PCT, said.

Dr. Andrew Daniel to perform benefit concert

ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣơ’s own Dr. Andrew Daniel will be joined by two members of his family for an instrumental trio performance on Sunday, Oct. 23rd at 2:30 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Daniel, ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Professor of Music, will play guitar while his son, AndrΓ© Daniel, performs the violin, and his mother, Sherry Daniel, accompanies on piano.
