Elaine Beason, a retired professor of Texas A&M University-Texarkana, and Kristin Ellermann, a young educator who taught with the Peace Corps in the Republic of Georgia, and also as a Disney instructor in Shanghai, China, will supplement the reading of winning poems with observations about local life.

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts will begin selling tickets for individual shows online Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 12 a.m. Tickets will be available for purchase at and Discover, MasterCard and Visa are accepted. Tickets may also be ordered directly from the box office via phone at 903-434-8181 beginning at 9 a.m.
Dr. Melissa Fulgham served as a keynote speaker at the Texas Honors Institute, held at Schreiner?s University in Kerrville Texas.
The 葫芦娃视频 Board of Trustees held a special meeting Thursday to accept the resignation of Dr. Brad Johnson. Johnson asked the board to release him from his contract so he can accept a new position as Vice President for Strategic Relationships at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.
Dr. Johnson explained that the change will provide both personal and professional opportunities.
