It may still be October, but the Hallmark Channel is already gearing up for the holiday season with their Countdown to Christmas movie schedule. ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅'s own Page Petrucka, Associate Professor of Theatre, will appear in the network's latest release, . The film premieres Friday, Oct. 28th at 7 p.m. central on the Hallmark Channel. The movie, which is a sequel to Christmas Under Wraps (2014), stars Jodie Sweetin and David O'Donnell.
Mark your calendars for a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Choctaw history and culture from tribal member Ryan Spring and Tribal Archaeologist Dr. Kim Hinson. The event will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15th from 12:30-1:30 in Humanities 101. A taste of Tanchi Labona, a traditional Choctaw dish, will be provided as well. Question and answer session after presentation. Faculty, staff, students, and members of the community are welcome!

The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Menβs Soccer team defeated Paris Junior College 5-0 on Saturday, October 22nd to earn a trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association playoffs. Goalie Enzo Camps (France) came up big with 7 saves in the win.

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ will host a performance by on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m.

The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ CARE team, along with Student Success, will be presenting at the 10th Annual First Gen Summit, MIT, Boston, MA , on November 5th. The First Gen Summit serves as a site for the meeting of the minds. First-gen students and their allies come together to identify problems, discuss grassroots solutions, and share whatβs working on their campuses. The focus is on finding solutions identified by students who can work with their staff, administrator, and faculty allies to create change.
The ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Foundation held its annual Golf Classic on October 17th at Princedale Country Club in Pittsburg. The tournament raised over $10,000 to support the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Work4College Program.
ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ hosted its annual college fair on Thursday, Oct. 20th in the Student Union Building. The event brought representatives from more than 20 universities to campus to meet with prospective transfer students.
