The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Nov. 29 to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. Offices and classes will resume a normal schedule on Monday, Dec. 2. 

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation held its annual Golf Classic on November 18 at Daingerfield Country Club in Daingerfield. The tournament raised more than $14,000 to support the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Work Scholarship Program.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Medical Assistant students recently gave back to the community by helping to feed those who have served our country at a special Veteran’s Day event at PE Wallace Middle School in Mount Pleasant. This is just one of many activities Medical Assistant (MA) students participate in outside of the classroom. The program is currently accepting applications for the spring semester. Texas A&M University-Texarkana at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's Student Advisory Council and Education Club and Communities In Schools is hosting an annual Christmas Drive Nov. 11 through Dec. 5. They are seeking new items for children and teens in the community, including toys, clothes, undergarments, electronics, board games, jackets, makeup and hair accessories, socks, shoes, hoodies, etc.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ’s Gladys Winkle Scholar, Courtney Baldwin has set a new college first.  Baldwin placed first in the Arts and Humanities division among student presenters at the recent meeting of the National Collegiate Honors Council in New Orleans, 6-10 November 2019.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Rodeo team closed out the fall schedule with a trip to Conroe, Texas for the Sam Houston State University Rodeo this past weekend. Presley Spoonemore led the way for the Eagles with an excellent run in the Breakaway roping bringing home a second place finish. 

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Continuing Education department held its fourth annual Northeast Texas Childcare Providers Conference on the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus on Saturday, Nov. 9.  They hosted 110 attendees.

Theatre Northeast, the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ student theatre group, will present a play for young audiences December 4-7 at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Several weekday matinees will be performed for school children and then there will be two performances for the general public on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2:05 p.m.
