The scholars of Honors Northeast completed filming their fifth feature-length movie last week in Nacogdoches.β The subject of this year?s film was the end of the Texas Cherokee and the transformation of Sam Houston. The project was researched, written, directed, acted and produced by students in the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ honors program with the support of faculty, staff and community members.
The 20th Century Study Club of Pittsburg recently gave $1,000 to help sponsor a student in the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ Work Scholarship Program. Team members from Lowe?s store 1802 in Mount Pleasant stopped by the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the ΊωΒ«ΝήΚΣΖ΅ campus this week to lend a hand with painting classrooms. Supplies for the renovation came from Lowe?s and the store donated community service time to help complete the project in time for the fall semester.
