Registration delays due to software conversion
ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ is gearing up for the fall semester, which begins Monday, Aug. 24. Due to issues stemming from a recent student information software conversion, online registration is currently unavailable and students will find wait times to be longer than usual.
"When a college replaces its administrative software systems, there are always challenges. Our staff is doing everything they can to ensure that each student is taken care of," Dr. Brad Johnson, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ President, said. "Unfortunately, the process will take longer than usual this semester.
ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ offers Saturday registration Aug. 22
ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will be open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 22 to assist students with finalizing registration for the Fall 2015 semester. Students who have already begun the registration process will have the opportunity to meet with academic advisors, make payments and receive help with financial aid.

Honors Northeast seeks submissions for poetry contest
The eighth annual Northeast Texas Poetry Contest and Reading is again open to the public.†Amateur, accomplished or aspiring poets of any age are welcome to submit their best poem on the topic of life in Northeast Texas.†Poets are encouraged to accent or enliven the sense of the surroundings, the people, the culture or the history of our region.†The deadline date for submission is August 28 at noon. Due to increased demand, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will add an additional date for new students to attend myEagle Orientation. Any first-time student who has not yet attended orientation and plans to take classes at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ this fall should make plans to sign up for this final session on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
The event begins in the Student Union Building (SUB) at 8 a.m. and will last until approximately†1:30†p.m.
