The Progressive Women's Organization of Mount Pleasant recently gave $1,000 to support the «Ƶ Campaign for the Whatley. Their gift will sponsor a theatre seat in honor of their organization and one in memory of Verner Cornelius. The «Ƶ Board of Trustees approved the issuance of limited tax bonds not to exceed $10 million at a special meeting July 14. This will allow «Ƶ to begin work on the campus renewal plan that voters approved in May.
