��«����Ƶ would like to congratulate two of its own for being recognized by their community at the Mount Pleasant-Titus County Chamber of Commerce banquet on Thursday, Jan. 25th. Dr. Jonathan McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement, was named Citizen of the Year. Stephanie Thurman, who holds Place Five on the ��«����Ƶ Board of Trustees, was honored with Business of the Year for Thurman's Pro-Med Pharmacy. 

The ��«����Ƶ Board of Trustees met for its regular January meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 30th. In the President’s Report, Dr. Ron Clinton stated that preliminary enrollment numbers show a 2.8% increase in headcount and a 4.4% increase in semester hours for the spring 2024 semester.

“While our new funding model doesn’t primarily focus on enrollment growth, it is a good indication that students are returning and numbers are nearing what they were before the pandemic,” Clinton said.

The ��«����Ƶ Eagles Rodeo team is gearing up for its Spring 2024 season. In addition to competing in five rodeos around the state, they will also host their annual Alumni events/dinner and Kids Rodeo. The ��«����Ƶ Rodeo team consists of both men and women who compete in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). Below is their spring schedule:

Time is running out to apply for the 2024 Summer Success Program at ��«����Ƶ  The deadline to apply is May 1, 2024. The college transition program for recent high school graduates is designed to help improve your success as a college student. Eligible students who enroll in six credit hours for the first summer session will receive a scholarship to cover the cost of summer housing and a lunch meal plan.

Bands have been covering The Beatles for decades, but none like Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Bluegrass Band. Imagine the music of the Fab Four shaken up with infusions of bluegrass and jazz and topped off with a classical twist. The result: a satisfying musical cocktail that is coming to the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ��«����Ƶ!

This special event performance is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 9th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children and ��«����Ƶ students with a valid ID.
