Are you stressing about taking the TSI assessment? Don't sweat it...ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's free TSI Bootcamps are here to help. Whether you only need to work on one section or all three (Reading, Writing & Math), these bootcamps are specially designed to prepare you for the TSI Assessment. Anyone who needs to take the TSI is welcome to sign up at no cost to you. Classes will be held June 8 through 29 and July 6 through 29 from 1-3 p.m.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will host two spring commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 13th in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. Seating is limited, so only guests who have tickets will be admitted into the auditorium. Both events will be streamed live on  and  for those who are unable to attend in person.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta recently inducted new members at an afternoon ceremony on campus. Sigma Kappa Delta is an English honor society with more than 400 chapters across the country. In order to qualify for an invitation for Sigma Kappa Delta, students must maintain a high GPA and achieve excellent grades in their English courses. The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ chapter was recently revived after a several year hiatus under the leadership of Jennifer Sparks, Interim English Faculty.

For the Spring 2023 semester, Mathematics Professor Dr. Jackie Johnston nominated Jacob Harvey. Dr. Johnston explained that “Jacob is an initiative-taker, independently motivated, and does not let difficult work deter his progress.

The memory of Carroll Shelby was alive and well in Pittsburg, Texas last week as the 100th anniversary of his birth was celebrated along with the Texas Hotlink Festival. Shelby was honored April 29th with a memorial car show, a historical marker dedication at his grave site in Leesburg and a special Shelby Centennial Reception at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Culinary School.

For the Spring 2023 semester, Dr. Doug Richey nominated Rohan Sanganeria from the DFW metroplex (left) as outstanding in Calculus III and Differential Equations.

Members of the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Business Club recently presented two $500 checks to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation. The donation will provide two business students with a scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is the fourth year the Business Club has given scholarships.
