The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will host a concert by Mount Vernon Music Monday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Whatley foyer.†The string quintet performance will feature Mark Miller and Yuko Mansell on violin, Ute Miller and Sarah Kienle on viola and Zachary Mansell on cello.
Program selections will include Quintet in C major K. 515 by Mozart and Quintet in G major op.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana will host a PLACE lecture (Program for Learning and Community Engagement) on the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus March 30 at 12:30 p.m. in UHS 221. The lecture "Great War, Great Dilemma: The Treatment of Pacifists and the Lesson of the Power of One" will be conducted by our very own Dr. Melissa Fulgham. Free pizza and drinks will be provided.

Alpha Mu Chi, the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, received 20 awards at the Texas Regional Convention in Corpus Christi, March 9-11.
The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Art Department will host the Mount Pleasant Art Society Annual Membership Show March 25 through April 7 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The competitive show features artwork from a variety of local artists. A reception will be held Saturday, March 25 from 2:00-3:30 p.m., where the winners will be announced. The gallery is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Please call 903-434-8181 to ensure that the gallery is open before you come to visit.
The annual ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Spring Plant Sale will be hosted April 1 at the Mount Pleasant Super 1 Foods parking lot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until sold out). Various sizes and varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers will be available, plus numerous other vegetables, herbs, shrubs, vines and trees ready to plant in your garden or patio pots. The farm crew will be available to answer your gardening questions and help get your garden started off right!

Texarkana held a ceremony Thursday morning to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding and Articulation Agreement for the Associate of Science in Business Administration to Bachelor of Business Administration. Dr. Brad Johnson, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ President, and Dr. Emily Cutrer, President of A&M-Texarkana are pictured during the signing. The agreement allows students who complete their associate degree in business at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ to seamlessly transfer into the bachelor?s degree program at A&M-Texarkana.
The North Texas SBDC proudly announces the†Northeast Texas Small Business Development Center (SBDC)†in Mount Pleasant, as the 2017 SBDC of the Year for the North Texas SBDC Network.
