Tanika Santos-MacSwain wins Walter B. Cooper scholarship

Alpha Mu Chi, the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), recently learned that another student has received a state-wide scholarship award.†Tanika Santos-MacSwain, of The Woodlands,†received the Walter B. Cooper Scholarship at the PTK Texas Leadership Conference. She was one of only three recipients from across the state of Texas.

Psi Beta inducts new members, installs officers

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ recently inducted new members and installed officers into Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for students at two-year colleges. Health Sciences conducts interdisciplinary simulation event

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Health Sciences department held its first interdisciplinary simulation that combined Medical Assisting, Nursing, Medical Lab Technician, and Physical Therapist Assistant students October 18†in the Medical Assisting and Simulation Labs.

Students moved through a ?real world? patient scenario that incorporated the full healthcare team.

Scare Affair scheduled for Oct. 22

It?s time to put on your best Halloween costume, dust off your trick-or-treat basket and head out to ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ for the 29th annual Scare Affair.

The event is from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 on the plaza of the main ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus (located on FM 1735 near Chapel Hill ISD). There will be free candy for all trick-or-treaters, low-cost games for all ages, a costume contest with cash prizes and much more!
