ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Women's Soccer beats ranked Navarro

The Lady Eagles soccer team faced off against the 13th ranked Navarro for the second time in a region game Tuesday. Navarro came out strong and found the back of the net in the 4th minute giving them a 1-0 lead. The Lady Eagles were able to uphold the pressure and keep the score at 1-0. In the 25th minute††was able to capitalize on a penalty kick and even the score.

Art department hosts pottery and sculpture exhibit

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Art Department is hosting Diversity in Clay, a pottery and sculpture exhibit by Llwanda Golden through October 26 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.

"Llwanda is a prolific artist with a high level of sophistication and detail. From her whimsical teapots to lifelike human busts, each piece is unique and special," Debbie Strong, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Instructor of Art, said.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ wins national award for efforts in sustainability

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ recently learned that it was one of only nine community colleges nationwide to win†recognition†for its innovative agriculture programs by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

As a recipient of the 2016 Green Genome Awards, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ was specifically honored for Program Design and Delivery in Sustainable Agriculture. The award comes with a prize of $10,000, which will be used to further sustainable agriculture efforts at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ was recently among all Texas colleges and universities by the website OnlineColleges.com. Colleges were ranked on a variety of factors including affordability, student services and availability of online programs.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ has drastically increased the number of online courses offered in recent years in order to better serve the changing needs of students.

Capitol Steps to perform at Whatley Center

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will kick off its 25th anniversary season October 11 with a special presentation by Capitol Steps. They are sure to brighten up the final push to election day with their witty, hilarious political satire.



The Capitol Steps, put together by a group of former Capitol Hill staffers, puts the MOCK in democracy as they find humor in all aspects of American politics. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and all tickets are $30.
