The Progressive Women's Organization of Mount Pleasant recently gave $1,000 to support the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Campaign for the Whatley. Their gift will sponsor a theatre seat in honor of their organization and one in memory of Verner Cornelius. The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Board of Trustees approved the issuance of limited tax bonds not to exceed $10 million at a special meeting July 14. This will allow ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ to begin work on the campus renewal plan that voters approved in May.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and Texas A&M University-Texarkana officials signed a dual admissions agreement today at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, formalizing a partnership benefitting students who wish to attain baccalaureate degrees. Officials also signed a financial aid consortium allowing ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and A&M-Texarkana students to be concurrently enrolled without disruption to their financial aid award.

The Texas Pioneer Foundation recently awarded a $40,000 grant to support the Work Scholarship Program at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ.
