Registration delays due to software conversion

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ is gearing up for the fall semester, which begins Monday, Aug. 24. Due to issues stemming from a recent student information software conversion, online registration is currently unavailable and students will find wait times to be longer than usual.

"When a college replaces its administrative software systems, there are always challenges. Our staff is doing everything they can to ensure that each student is taken care of," Dr. Brad Johnson, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ President, said. "Unfortunately, the process will take longer than usual this semester.

Hanson-Sewell Center offers fall classes

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg would like to remind residents of Camp County and surrounding areas that a full slate of courses will be offered at the center this fall.





The majority of classes offered at the Hanson-Sewell Center are held in the evening in order to allow working adults a chance to take courses that fit their busy schedules. Fall classes begin Monday, August 24, but it is not too late to register.

The Adult Education Department at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ) will offer free General Education Development (GED) and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at various locations beginning this month. ITTC to add CNC Operator certificate

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ announced on Thursday an important expansion of its training opportunities at the Industrial Technology Training Center in Mount Pleasant.†Thanks to a partnership with the Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation and Workforce Solutions Northeast, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will soon offer a certificate program in Computer Numerical Controls (CNC) Operator at the ITTC.

Honors Northeast seeks submissions for poetry contest

The eighth annual Northeast Texas Poetry Contest and Reading is again open to the public.† Amateur, accomplished or aspiring poets of any age are welcome to submit their best poem on the topic of life in Northeast Texas.†Poets are encouraged to accent or enliven the sense of the surroundings, the people, the culture or the history of our region.†The deadline date for submission is August 28 at noon. Due to increased demand, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will add an additional date for new students to attend myEagle Orientation. Any first-time student who has not yet attended orientation and plans to take classes at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ this fall should make plans to sign up for this final session on Wednesday, Aug. 5.

The event begins in the Student Union Building (SUB) at 8 a.m. and will last until approximately†1:30†p.m.
