The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Culinary Arts Program recently hosted the Eagles Softball team at the culinary arts school in downtown Pittsburg for a team-building event. Chef Anthony Nelson, Director of the Culinary Arts Program, shared information about nutrition and how it can affect the performance of athletes. Team members also worked together to prepare a healthy meal of smoothies and omelets.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Physical Therapist Assistant program hosted the Texas Physical Therapy Association East Texas District (ETD) meeting and continuing education on Thursday, Sept. 21. Current PTA students participated in the ETD business meeting. They also learned about opportunities for engagement in their professional organization through a continuing education presentation by Dr. Lois Stickley, Associate Professor at Texas State University, DPT school.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation recently received a $25,000 grant from the Ed Rachal Foundation. Thanks to an additional matching grant opportunity, the funds will be doubled for a $50,000 impact. The grant will be utilized to expand the reach of the Work4College Program.
