The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Women’s and Men’s Soccer teams kicked off the 2022 season at home against the LSU-Eunice Bengals. LSU-E Women would mount a comeback and defeat the Eagles 3-2 and the men’s squad for the Bengals won 3-1 on Wednesday.
Do you have an interest in traveling abroad? ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ recently announced a new travel study course to Mexico City. During the May 2023 minimester, Carmen Shurtleff, Instructor of Social Work/Sociology, will lead a group of students on the trip of a lifetime to explore the rich culture and history to be found in Mexico City.

It is critical that the campus community is quickly informed in the event of an emergency at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. As we kick off a new school year, it is important that everyone is made aware of what to do and how to make sure they receive emergency alerts. We will be conducting a test of our alert system on Tuesday, Sept. 13th at 9:45 a.m.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5 in observation of the Labor Day holiday. Offices will return to normal hours and classes will resume as usual on Tuesday, Sept. 6. We hope everyone has a fun and safe long weekend!

Have you always wanted to learn a new language? Now is the time to get started! The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Continuing Education department is planning two language courses this fall.
ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will host a job fair on Tuesday, September 20th from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB). The event is open to the public in addition to ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students. Recruiters from local business and industry will be in attendance. The following have confirmed that they will be represented (more will likely be added):
The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Career and Transfer team will host Annie Garcia, UT Tyler Admissions Coordinator, on Wednesday, Sept. 14 in the SUB from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is to help inform ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students about what degrees UT Tyler offers and what requirements are needed for each degree. Mrs. Garcia will waive application fees ($60) for students who apply during her visit.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Soccer programs will kick off the 2022 Regular Season on Wednesday, August 31st at 2:00pm hosting LSU-Eunice from Eunice, Louisiana.
Coach Heather Brady will lead the Eagle Women’s team this season who will quickly jump into Conference play on Saturday following the opening game with LSU-Eunice. Brady returns 11 players from last years squad to help lead the six freshmen newcomers.
