ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ would like to recognize our Athletic Training staff, Justin Hargrove (Head Athletic Trainer) and Erica Austin (Student Athletic Trainer) along with the athletic trainers of Mount Pleasant ISD, Alex Fellows and Amber Strong, Daingerfield ISD AT Averi Nelson, and Pittsburg ISD AT KaTerria Epps for all their hard work in taking care of our area athletes.
Weather once again forced ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ baseball (5-7) to head out on the road to face and opponent at a neutral site. ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ headed to Fort Worth, Texas to meet up with Hutchinson Community College from Kansas. The Eagles would fall in game one 6-1, and Hutchison just squeaked out a win in game two, 9-8.
The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation recently received a $1,000 gift from Chuck and Sarah Johns, of Pittsburg. The donation will provide a student from Camp County with a scholarship for ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ’s Work4College Program this summer.
The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation recently received a $15,000 donation from Weldon and Jo Ann Miller of Mount Pleasant. Additionally, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ received a $10,000 donation from Guaranty Bancshares, Inc. in honor of Weldon Miller for his many years of dedicated service to Guaranty Bank & Trust and Guaranty Bancshares, Inc.
The Carroll Shelby Foundation recently gave a total of $50,000 ($25,000 for Spring and $25,000 for fall) to support scholarships for students enrolled in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. Dr. Jonathan McCullough
Once again, rain forced ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (5-5) baseball to head out on the road. ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ made the three hour trip to Tishomingo, Oklahoma and came away with a 19-5 win over Murray State College.
The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Dolls recently donated approximately 2,000 pounds of food to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Eagle Pantry. The pantry provides food items to current ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students and their families.
The application deadline for an optimal scholarship of Honors Northeast for the 2020-2021 school year is 1 March. The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ softball team (2-9) traveled to Waco on Saturday to take on McLennan College. McLennan completed the two game sweep defeating ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ 9-1 in game one and 8-0 in game two.
