Jessie Parchman, a Presidential Honors Scholar at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and a Chapel Hill high school senior, became the first person from this region to attend the Public Leadership Education Network Conference (PLEN).  Jessie also serves as a chapter officer for ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter, Alpha Mu Chi.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation recently received a $25,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. Aaron Shelby (left), is pictured presenting the check to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Executive Vice President for Advancement, at the Barrett-Jackson auction event held in Scottsdale, Arizona last week. The funds will be used to support ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ’s Carroll Shelby Automotive Program. The Shelby Foundation has been a major supporter of the program since Carroll Shelby himself took an interest in providing opportunities for students in Northeast Texas. Visit  to learn more about the program.

Students of Honors Northeast took yet another festive day trip  to the Dallas metro last Friday, 28 January.  With the help of donors to Honors Northeast, especially Drs. Jim and Paula Archer, the group enjoyed many special experiences.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Rodeo is pleased to announce our first annual Rodeo alumni dinner and team fundraiser April 9, 2022 at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Arena Becky & Buddy McCollum Events Center & Pavilion.

The event will feature Cole Scoggins for live music and dancing, silent auction, live auction, meet and greet with the current team, and catered barbecue dinner. Tickets for the Event will be available to purchase starting March 1, 2022. Tickets are $50 each and include your meal and entertainment.
