Construction Update for Jan. 19

There are a few construction areas that faculty, staff and students should be aware of as we prepare for the first day of spring classes next Tuesday (remember, we will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day):

  • The western parking lot (PL3) between UHS and the SUB should be reopened by Tuesday. HOWEVER, please use caution in this area, as the pavement will be uneven and it will not be striped for parking.

U.S. Congressman John Ratcliffe to visit campus

United States Congressman John Ratcliffe will visit ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ†Thursday,†Jan. 21 at 2:30 p.m. He will speak in the Criminal Justice Center to Police Academy cadets on the topic of Cyber Security,†Terrorism and Illegal Immigration. Mr. Ratcliffe represents the fourth district of Texas, which includes the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ district, in the United States House of Representatives.

As U.S. Attorney, he was the top federal law enforcement officer for a 33,000 square mile area of North and East Texas, including almost all of the 4th Congressional District.
