Northeast Texas Photography Club featured in Whatley Center exhibit

The Northeast Texas Photography Club will exhibit a collection of work in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ November 9 through December 3. The display will include photography in a variety of styles, all shot by local members. An artist reception will be held Thursday, Nov. 12 at 2:30 p.m. in the Whatley Center foyer.

Local students attend STAR program

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ recently hosted its first Health STAR (Student Training and Access to Resources) program. Over a three-day period, 35 area high school students with an interest in healthcare professions spent time at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and Titus Regional Medical Center (pictured). Students had the opportunity to learn more about the educational†requirements†for various healthcare fields, shadow working†practitioners and participate in real-world scenarios using simulators.

Team Arise gives ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ veteran scholarship

Michael Brown (left) recently gave $500 to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation on behalf of his organization, Team Arise. The funds will provide a scholarship to ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students who are veterans or children of veterans. Dr. Jonathan McCullough, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Vice President for Advancement, is pictured receiving the gift. Carroll Shelby Foundation gives $25,000 for ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ scholarships

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation recently received a $25,000 gift from the Carroll Shelby Foundation. The donation will provide scholarships for students in the Carroll Shelby Automotive Technology Program at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. Dr. Jonathan McCullough (second from right), ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Vice President for Advancement, accepted the gift.

Psi Beta inducts new members

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ recently inducted new members into Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for students at two-year colleges.
