Who is required to complete orientation?
All transfer students who have earned LESS than 12 credit hours and all first time college students are required to complete orientation. If you took dual credit courses before high school graduation, you are still required to complete orientation upon graduation.

All Northeast students have access to orientation and are highly encouraged to review it, but only those who fit the categories listed above are required to complete orientation to finish their admissions process.

Financial Aid/Veterans Specialist

  • Assist with awarding financial aid and related reconciliation activities.
  • Facilitate students' seamless enrollment by offering comprehensive assistance throughout the entire process, including admissions, document requirements, financial aid, and more. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for veteran seeking educational benefits and oversee the certification process.

College Navigator

Description of Job Duties:

  • Provide academic advising, coaching, mentoring and support to high-need, at risk students. 
  • Maintain a caseload of assigned students and deliver consistent monitoring, evaluating and reporting on students' academic progress. 
  • Engage and support high-need students with a casemanagement model based on holistic interventions. 
  • Collect information from faculty and staff regarding student academic concerns in real-time.

Student Services Specialist

The Student Services Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to a diverse range of individuals, including students, guests, faculty, and staff within the college's student services center.  This role demands a deep understanding of customer service principles and practices, along with excellent interpersonal, decision-making and exceptional planning and organizational skills.

Juggling parenthood and pursuing an education simultaneously is no easy task. It's like having two full-time jobs, and it can be really overwhelming, especially for single parents. Many parents in college find themselves having to balance their time between taking care of their kids, focusing on academics, working, managing family commitments, and handling a variety of other responsibilities.
