ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ held its winter 2012 commencement ceremony at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, Dec. 14. During the ceremony 103 students were awarded associate degrees and 77 earned certificates of competency in their chosen fields. John Russo, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ adjunct faculty member in history, gave the commencement address. Chelsea Cates, of Pittsburg, delivered the student response. A special presentation was made to LaSonya Feltus, who received a†posthumous†degree on behalf of her late husband, Edd Feltus.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation announced the winners of the 2012-2013 Whatley Employment Enhancement Awards this week. Seven out of the 20 proposals were chosen for funding.

The†Students In Free Enterprise†(SIFE) organization at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will host a 5K Reindeer Run/Walk event on Saturday, Dec. 8th. The run will be held on the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus and begins at 8 a.m.

Registration will be held in front of†the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus from 7:00-7:30 a.m. The cost to participate is $25 for all ages, and includes a t-shirt and a pancake breakfast after the run.
