Theater Northeast to perform The Nerd

Theatre Northeast, the student theatre group at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, is set† present the ?side-splitting comedy? by Larry Shue,†The Nerd.†The show will be performed in the onstage theatre at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts and runs February 28, March 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a matinee on March 3 at 2:05 p.m.

Eagles Softball wins 4 of 5 at Cowtown Tourney

The Lady Eagles won four of five games over the weekend as they were in action in the Cowtown Tournament in Fort Worth. ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ improved to 5-4 this season as the Eagles picked up wins over Rose State, Eastern Oklahoma, Connors State and Western Oklahoma.

?Things finally started clicking for our offense and we were able to put the ball in play,? Eagle head coach Jessica Keith said. ?Some of the games got a little to close for comfort at the end, but we played well overall.?

Eagles Baseball sweeps Pratt in series

The Eagles pushed their record to 5-1 this weekend as they swept a three-game series from visiting Pratt Community College. After a disappointing offensive performance last weekend, the Eagle hitters came to life against Pratt as ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ produced 28 hits and 24 runs in three games this week.

?We were finally hitting the ball the way we should be,? Eagle head coach Josh Stewart said. ?I just hope we can keep hitting like that as the season goes on.?

Weekend EMR class planned

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Emergency Medical Services program will hold an introductory coursein emergency care, called Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) from March 16 to May 25.

The EMR course is the first level for emergency medical personnel.† The EMR class provides the student with basic skills and knowledge necessary to assess and care for ill or injured people until professional advanced care arrives.††Those currently working or volunteering in daycares, youth camps, schools, industries, firedepartments, and law enforcement agencies can benefit with this training.<

Duck Commander to appear at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ

The Duck Commander is headed to ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ! Phil Robertson and his youngest son, Jep, of†Duck Dynasty†fame, will appear on the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus on Saturday, April 6.



This event is hosted by the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation and will take place at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's Bob Baker Stadium. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, Feb. 25.†All tickets are $20 and include a meal and admission to hear Phil speak.

Celtic Crossroads to perform at Whatley Center

Just when you think that you have seen the best that Irish music has to offer, a fresh new show from Ireland is taking the art form to an entirely†new level. Celtic Crossroads, a group of young performers who present Irish music like never before, will bring the Emerald Isle to Northeast Texas for an afternoon.



The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will host their show, The Gathering, on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 2:30 p.m. This performance of Celtic Crossroads is sponsored by Charlie and Helen Hampton.
