ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ to host job fair May 1

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will host a job fair on Tuesday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB) on the main ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ campus. The event is free to the public.†More than a dozen local and regional employers will be in attendance.



"We realize that the job market is tough right now. We are offering this fair as an opportunity for job seekers to get face time with area hiring managers," Alex Ortega, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Advisor/Recruiting Specialist, said.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) team was recently named First Runner Up at the SIFE USA Regional Competition held in Dallas on Friday, April 13.



The event is one of 12 SIFE USA Regional Competitions being held across the United States in March and April.

Eagles Marah throws no-hitter

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Eagles (29-13, 22-10) snapped a four-game conference losing streak with a big win Wednesday as Jordan Marah threw a no-hitter against the visiting Paris Junior College Dragons in a 5-0 victory.

The Eagles came into the game on a four-game skid after dropping double headers against Texarkana and Panola last week.

SGA gives report at April board meeting

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Student Government Association (SGA) gave a report to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Board of Trustees on Tuesday night. SGA President John Herron addressed the board regarding their recent trip to the state SGA convention in Austin. The group revealed plans to support The Wounded Warrior project, promote graduation at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and to assist fellow students with voter registration.

Theatre Northeast to perform 12 Angry Jurors

Theatre Northeast will present the tense courtroom drama†Twelve Angry Jurors †in the Studio Theatre of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. The show will run†April 26-28 at 7:30 p.m. and April 29 at 2:05 p.m.

The play by Reginald Rose, originally a 1954 CBS STUDIO ONE television drama, and subsequently an academy award nominated film starring Henry Fonda and Lee J.

Eagles soccer to hold open tryout

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Eagles soccer program will hold open tryouts for both the men?s and women?s teams on Saturday, April 28. Women?s tryouts are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and men?s tryouts are from 1-3 p.m. on the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ soccer field. Campus tours will follow.
