One of our very own soccer players, goalkeeper Jeremy Coste, is up for Save of the Year through the USL League Two. USL League Two is a professional development league for soccer players. Jeremy had the honor of being one of several of our players to play in this developmental league over the summer.

Alpha Mu Chi, the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Phi Theta Kappa Chapter, is seeking artists to participate in a special exhibit that will be held October 28 through November 1, 2019 in the Whatley Center foyer gallery. Outside The Lines will be a show about art, mental health and identity. A closing reception will be held Friday, Nov. 1 from 5-7 p.m.

The office of Student Activities and Multicultural Affairs at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will host an Intramural Doubles Pool Tournament on Friday, Sept. 13 in the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Game Room (SUB). For the twelfth-straight year since 2008, Cypress Bank has presented a high-end MacBook laptop for the use of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ honors students.

Carter BloodCare will be on campus Tuesday, September 10 conducting a blood drive. Please help save a life by donating blood!

Thanks to premier film patrons Jerald and Mary Lou Mowery of Scroggins, a Whatley Enhancement Grant, administrative support at the college, and some influential encouragement of local friends, the honors program of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ finished its six days of filming on 15 August.

President Dwyatt Bell, Chairman of the Board, John Bryan, and Senior Vice President, Brenda Howard formally have represented Texas Heritage National Bank in honoring Mercedes Collins with a full-tuition, fees and books scholarship. 

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and Texas A&M University-Texarkana will host a signing event on the A&M-Texarkana campus on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 10 a.m.

Congratulations to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ class of August 2019! You have worked hard and we are looking forward to celebrating your accomplishment at our commencement ceremony this Friday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m.
