Dr. Ron Clinton to perform benefit piano concert

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ is pleased to announce that it will kick off its 2022 events calendar on Sunday, February 13 at 2:30 p.m. with a piano concert by ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ President Dr. Ron Clinton. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for ages 17-and-under. Virtual live-streaming tickets are also available for $10. All proceeds from the concert will directly benefit the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Eagle Food Pantry, which provides much-needed food and other services to ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ students.

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Foundation has more than 300 scholarships available for the 2022-2023 academic year. The scholarships are not directly tied to FAFSA eligibility, so you may receive a scholarship even if you don’t qualify for PELL grants. What’s the catch? You have to apply!

Eagles Athletics to be featured on Star 96.9

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Athletics is pleased to partner with East Texas Broadcasting and Star 96.9 to bring you the weekly radio show with Eagle Coaches and Athletes. Tune in on Friday mornings at 8:30am on Star 96.9 FM to hear about the Eagle Sports teams from the coaches, athletes and administrators. The radio show will be starting on Friday, February 4th and run through the end of the semester.

Growing Work4College program helps tackle student debt

Young people these days are lazy. Nobody wants to work anymore. Students just want college given to them. In a time where stereotypes like these have become widely accepted, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ (ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ) is finding the opposite to be true with its innovative Work4College Program.

About 10 years ago, administrators at the small rural college started looking for solutions to rising student loan debt.  Like many institutions nationwide, they were seeing higher loan amounts and an increase in default rates.

Bookstore extends hours

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ College Store is extending its hours to make it more convenient for students to get their books and supplies for the spring semester. The bookstore will be open Friday, Jan. 14 from 8 a.m to 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will be open for regular business hours the rest of the week.
