Theatre Northeast presents Sylvia

† † †Theatre Northeast, the student theatre group of ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, is set to open the acclaimed award-winning romantic comedy†Sylvia, by A.R. Gurney, July 12-14 at 7:30 p.m. and July 15 at 2:05 p.m. in the Studio Theatre of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.††Sylvia is a witty and intelligent comedy about a man, a woman and a lovable pooch, who threatens to put their marriage in the doghouse!



Industrial Technology Training Center to host open house

Fast track police academy begins August 20

† † †Did you know that you can become a police officer in just 17.5 weeks?†If you are over 21 years of age, have a clear criminal history, posses†good physical stamina and can devote all of your time to learning, then†the police academy may be the right program for you.



† † †The Northeast Police Academy at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will†offer a "fast track" academy beginning August 20, 2012. This day†academy includes physical fitness training and meets from 6:30 a.m. to†5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

† † † ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ will host an ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ 101 college readiness †night on Thursday, June 28 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Student Union Building. Representatives from advising, financial aid, admissions, the business office, testing and other areas will be available to assist students.



† † † The event is free and open to the public. Both current and prospective students are encouraged to attend. Whether you are already enrolled or you are just now deciding to attend college, ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ 101 is a great time to stop by.

Jackson finishes 10th at CNFR


† † † Dustin Jackson, a team roping header from ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, finished the 2011-2012 season at 10th in the nation last week at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming.



† † † Jackson was partnered with heeler Corey Hendrick of Wharton County Junior College. The team missed their final steer in the short round, dashing their hopes of a higher finish. However, solid times in the first three rounds gave them enough points to finish in the top ten for the event.
